Kylie Cosmetics review and comparison

Kylie Cosmetics is famous for its liquid lipsticks and lip kits and recently eyeshadow palettes, this is why i decided to test and compare her liquid lipsticks. I want to know if it really is as good as everyone is talking about. Today i am swatching and reviewing Mary Jo K and Candy K, and i am comparing those two to Makeup Factory liquid lipstick in the shade Velvet Rosewood, Artdeco and MaxFactor. First let us look at the neutral naked shades.

The lipstick has a vanilla-cupcake like scent, the bottle itself feels heavy and luxurious and the packaging has the significant Kylie drops which represent the colour of the product inside. I will be comparing this lipstick to the following one:

This liquid lipstick is from Makeup Factory in the shade Velvet Rosewood. A perfect lip liner for both of the lipsticks is the Makeup For Ever lip liner in the shade Aqua Lip, as you can see i absolutely love this lip liner and i use it quite frequently. 

Here is the swatch comparison between both liquid lipsticks and the lip liner. From top to bottom: first is the Kylie cosmetics one, then Makeup Factory and lastly the lip liner.

All of the shades are super long lasting and will not come off when you eat, they do not feel dry on the lips and they both have a quick drying time. Both dry completely matte. When they are dry, they do not feel sticky on the lips. 

Between swatches i cleaned my lips with a makeup oil based remover and used a lip scrub by Kiko. It looks like an ordinary lipsticks but it contains little particles which make your lips feel more soft and hydrated.

Next lets look at the red shades. I will be reviewing Kylie Cosmetics in the shade Mary Jo K, Artdeco and MaxFactor.

Mary Jo K has the same vanilla-cupcake like smell just like the lipstick from Artdeco. MaxFactor's lipstick has no scent at all. If you want you can make the Artdeco lipstick matte with some translucent power. I like the use the one from Artdeco.

Here are the swatch comparisons. From top to bottom: Mary Jo K liquid lipstick, Mary Jo K lip pencil, MaxFactor liquid lipstick and Artdeco lipstick. The only long lasting one is by Kylie Cosmetics. MaxFactor and Artdeco lipsticks will come off rather quickly if you eat. MaxFactor's lipstick has a super long drying time (10 minutes) and still after that it wasn't completely dry, when you apply the product on the lips it slides around and it is not pigmented at all and the worst part is that it feels sticky on the lips. Kylie's feels non-drying and i could wear it for a whole day without the product rubbing off.

   

I was not sponsored to do this, i bought all of the products above with my own money. So the opinions are completely my own :) i hope i helped you with the comparisons, i know Kylie lipsticks are expensive and this is why i tried to find a dupe. But i can tell you that if you want to invest in a perfect liquid lipstick, then buy from Kylie Cosmetics, she sure knows how to make a perfect liquid lip :)
